About the Permit Tab

Enter PERMIT NO. and the permit number unless the US Postal Service has specifically authorized you to use your company name in your permit insignia.

In many cases, this is the issuing Post Office location. Confirm with the US Postal Service which city and state you should use.

In most cases, you should leave the Mailing Type blank. If you are doing a discount (bulk) First-Class Mail, however, enter PRESORTED in the Mailing Type field. If you are doing an automation mailing but have chosen to put the barcode in the lower right corner, enter AUTO in that blank.
